Places of Historical Significance to LDS Church Members
Colesville near the Susquehanna River. In 1830 a branch of the church was organized here, which emigrated together to Ohio in 1831.
Pickrell Pond on the Joseph Knight farm. The Knight family became well-known for their faithfulness.
Josiah Stowell Home. Located several miles from Colesville, it was here that Joseph was hired to work for Josiah Stowell, and thereby met his future wife Emma.
Marker in nearby South Bainbridge where Joseph and Emma were married in the home of Squire Tarble.
